Nursing Home Administrators: Accreditation - CE Requirements - Courses - Overview
CE Requirements

Nursing home administrators, licensed in Florida, must complete 40 hours of continuing education every 2 years. As part of these 40 contact hours, at least 1 contact hour of AIDS/HIV or End of Life Care and 2 contact hours of Preventing Medical Errors must be completed.

All other courses must be in at least one of the following domains of practice:

  1. Personnel
  2. Finance
  3. Marketing
  4. Physical resource management
  5. Laws, regulatory codes and governing boards
  6. Resident care

A maximum of 10 contact hours can be completed with online courses and no more than 15 contact hours can be taken in a single content area.

All courses listed for nursing home administrators have been approved by the Florida State Board of Nursing Home Administrators.

If you are not licensed in the State of Florida, please check with your State and/or accreditation body to determine if our courses meet their mandates. Many states and accreditation bodies accept courses approved by other states.
